Thanksgiving isn’t just about turkey, even though the food makes it that much better! It’s that special time to hit pause, soak in all the feels, and think about what truly makes life beautiful. And let me tell you, this year has given me so much to be thankful for, starting with YOU. Yes, YOU!
Gratitude sneaks into the smallest corners, doesn’t it? I think so. This year especially, it really has for me. Like when a client invites me into their home and trusts me to help with their clutter and we create a space that brings the spark back to their life. It’s in the stories you share, the laughs we’ve had while decluttering (because, yes, we have fun right?), and those lightbulb moments when everything finally clicks into place. Your trust is everything, and I don’t take it lightly.
You know where else we find gratitude? It’s in the friendships and collaborations that form along the way. My clients who become friends and biggest cheerleaders. My business besties, my mentors, and all the amazing small business owners I get to call friends. Thank you for being my people. You’ve taught me that even when things get chaotic (yes, your organizer's life isn't all roses and sunshine), there’s always someone ready to lend an ear, a laugh, or share a good meal with. And let’s not forget the everyday "mundane" moments of gratitude like the random acts of kindness, finding the perfect organizing storage with the measurement gods on our side, or that moment when we finally finish a project and feel like we can take on the world (hehehe). Gratitude isn’t always about the big stuff. If we look closely, it's truly in every corner.
So, as we celebrate Thanksgiving today, I want to encourage you to find those sneaky little moments of gratitude in your own life. Maybe it’s family, friends, or just the pure joy of making it through the day. Maybe it’s letting go of that thing you’ve been holding onto for way too long and feeling lighter because of it.
For me, gratitude is in every part of this journey. It’s in the trust you’ve given me, the relationships we’ve built, and the laughs we’ve shared. You remind me every day that this work isn’t just about organizing spaces, but it’s really about building connections and creating a little more peace in the world, one room at a time.
So Happy Thanksgiving my friends!
I hope your day is filled with joy, cherished moments, and good yummy food. And if you’re still finding it hard to find a reason to be thankful? Start with yourself because you're here, and that's pretty freaking awesome.
With love,
Your grateful Professional Organizer,
Lastree
